An extensive 9-month project exploring the archaeological potential and setting of the Iron Age period fortification Hili 14 - An extensive fortified mudbrick structure situated within the northern extent of the Hili Archaeological park, Abu Dhabi Emirate, UAE.
The project utilised a wide range of surveying techniques and technologies to capture the structural morphology of the site and its setting within the immediate and local landscapes. As a result of extensive topographic modelling and micro-topographical analysis it was proven that Hili 14 formed the focal point for a larger Iron-Age settlement which itself was one of several forming a continuous agricultural hinterland still preserved within the park boundaries.
